Luigi Mangion, 26, is accused of killing Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealthcare. It happened on December 4, 2024, in New York City. The killer shot the victim from behind. Mangione hails from Maryland and was a graduate of an Ivy League school. He was caught in Pennsylvania. Police believe Mangion would hate the company and the corporate world. Luigi Mangione, the suspect who allegedly fatally shot United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, became angry and got into a scuffle with officers as he was being escorted inside a Pennsylvania court on Tuesday, authorities said.

The 26-year-old Ivy League graduate turned to a group of reporters and shouted, “Completely out of touch” and “an insult to the intelligence of the American people.” As Mangione made angry comments, officers pushed him away and took him into the courthouse. It was not clear what he was referring to.

During the brief hearing, Mangione stared straight at the hearing, sometimes glancing at papers, rocking in his chair or looking back at the gallery. At one point, he tried to speak, but his lawyer asked him to keep quiet.
